Veggies in Progress

Well, the winter garden I had planned ended up not happening because in our little town, when they sell out and seasons change, they stop selling things. Like seeds. So, for a little project we started some indoor plants like strawberries, sweet peppers, and tomatoes. The peppers and tomatoes took off but the strawberries look like they aren't going to take off. The other two are ready to be transplanted.

This ended up being a fun project with the kids because they check up on the plants daily. They get delighted to water them and see how tall they've gotten and are excited to plant them outside.

We are now planning what will go in our spring/ summer garden. We're thinking lettuces, raddishes, and maybe some hot peppers. In the planter boxes on our deck we are thinking about doing some herbs, cilantro, parsley, basil. Y que mas? I'm not sure yet. Any one else going to be in the garden this spring?
