Changes
I decided to change my blog name and format. Not that any one cares but myself. I'm not ready to give up the blog because I hardly use it. I use it when I want to remember an event, millstone, recipe, vacation, etc. So, I'm going to use this blog as my memory book. Boring to you, useful to me.

I'm Baaaack!
But you didn't know I was gone. I un-deleted this bad boy. I know I'm not the best blogger, but I missed it and all the journaling of my life the past 2 years. There will be some changes around here. No more close ups of the kids. But, I will still be writing, even though I realize I am not so good at it. So, enjoy...

Why?
I am really saddened by the senseless death of poor little Sandra Cantu. I don't know if it's because I lived in that town, because my family still lives there and I can just picture my little sister playing out side, or because I have kids and can't imagine going through that. It's crazy people would do such a thing to innocence. Just remember to hug your littles and teach them what to do with a stranger.

Sound the Trumpets!

What just made my Saturday evening? I was getting bored and was wondering what podcast or music can I listen to. Hmm. Type in Radio Alice. For those of you who don't know, it's a Bay Area "alternative" radio station that I used to listen to ALWAYS when I lived there. So, any way I thought I would listen to some music when- wait- what... Vinnie is back! Vinnie, from the morning radio show, who had been gone for years, is back! Aaaanndd, they have a podcast of the morning radio show. So, I am listening to it now and reliving the daily commute to college, or some hospital to do a rotation while in nursing school. It's entertaining and I enjoy it. Life is good again. (totally dramatic, I know:)

Do You Ever?

Do you ever have one of those days...
where you wonder why you committed to so much?
you wonder why you added more to your schedule?
you wonder why it's so hot outside...STILL?!
where you just want to curl up under the blankets and snooze?
where you want to eat something good, but don't want to cook it?
when you have a project you want to do with the kids, but lack the time or energy?
why you opened your mouth and volunteered for another thing?
where you can't wait for Saturday to come?
where you can't wait for a little vacation?
Yeah, I'm there. I'm being a total wimp this week, so excuse the whining.
***Edited: Boy, I do sound like a wimp. I still have a lot on my plate (like everyone else) but I just have to buck up and do what needs to be done. Right?

What do you do?
I've got a lot of things on my mind. Nothing of importance. Just planning our busy week in my head, thinking about the baby on the way, thinking about Chris at work going on week 2, and thinking about my kids who are growing and getting older. Nothing bad, just thoughts.
So, in the spirit of thinking let's do this little questionnaire.
What are you good at?
Organizing things.
Cleaning.
Making others feel good.
Reading bed time stories.
Delegating.
Cooking.
Eating.
Loving my family.
Not gossiping.
What do you want to be better at?
Not cleaning so much.
Organizing my thoughts.
Exercising.
Crafting.
Judging.
Flossing.
More compassionate.
What are enjoying right now?
My KING SIZED bed (you must buy one!!!)
Internet.
Planning a new project...Baby scrapbook (this will be the best one yet)
Sleeping kids.
Baby kicks in my belly.
Planning C's 3rd birthday party.
What are you not enjoying right now?
The fan on my laptop- so loud.
The MTV VMA's (I just lost a few readers, huh?)
Planning the baby scrapbook.
The hot weather.
Watering plants- let's face it. I just don't have the patience.
Some thing you're looking forward to?
My next u/s.
S writing so many new letters.
C turning 3.
Chris coming home.
Autumn.

Are you serious?
So, we all woke very early. 6 am to be precise. And we (meaning the kids, my little sister, and I) were all feeling pretty energized so I suggested we go exercise at the track. They were all for it because my kids think that when they "exercise" they need to dress appropriately. Usually meaning little teeny tiny shorts that ride and socks to thier knees. They look Napoleon Dynamite-ish or like the guy from Juno. It's pretty silly.
Anyway, I loaded up thier bikes and off we went to the nicer local high school with the cool track where people of all ages and mommy's with strollers, kids on bikes, runners training, and so forth go. This was my first time taking the kids with thier bikes. I got the idea watching other mom's do so and I finally got up the "ganas" to do it too. It worked out great! They go just fast enough for me to get a brisk walk in and set a go pace for me. I needs me some good exercising, you know, since bambino #3 is on the way. I was feeling pretty good about the kids and me getting a workout in. Until...
A man, obviously a coach, because he had that get up on: striped polo tee, ball cap, and tan cargo shorts, decide to reprimand me.
Him: Do you know bikes aren't allowed on the track?
Me: Uh, seriously?
Him: Uh, yeah. And we have a camp training in 20 minutes, so ya need to go soon. On the weekends some times it's ok for bikes. (but not now, ok)
Me: (just getting a sweat on getting pretty angered) Seriously? This is like the only place in our county for kids to ride thier bikes. (no exaggeration)
Him: Yeah, there's a sign that says no bikes. (And walks away)
So, a little back round. Where I live in the foothills there are, well, hills. There's barely, any sidewalks, and the road traffic is usually going at least 45mph on long windy 2 lane roads. It's not exactly pedestrian friendly. But, it is beautiful here and there are lots of hiking trails and lakes that we do take advantage of, but, how about a semi- flat strip of land where the kids can roam a little without having to pack for the day. Or, even an adult. Pick one of the three (i think) local gyms where you can pay $70 a month. I quit the gym- excuse me- *sports club* because everywhere I turned they wanted an additional charge.
So, the track. I saw so many moms with stroller's there before and there were tire tracks from trucks, Arrrgggg. You know what? I'm just gonna keep going and they can just reprimand me every time. It's crazy.
And for all you runner. Please spare me any lame excuse about how a 2 year olds training wheels mess up the gravel, making it an uneven surface, causing your shin splits. Save it.
P.S. Rec. department, where is my refund that was due three weeks ago for allowing my kids to swim with a kid who had a contractible disease?!
P.P.S. Please ignore me. I might be over it tomorrow.

Whoopdie Doo
These little quizzes are sometimes fun.
I kinds disagree with this one. At times I'm jaded.

I'm lame.
So it happened. I actually met a blogger today! Not just any blogger, one of my top three. I read hers, Heels, amalah, and emily style almost daily. And I recognized Heels while at the farmer's market today. I think I called her an Internet rock star... I'm so lame. I didn't even introduce myself because I didn't want to bother her. Go check out her blog. She writes well; witty, insightful, and so sweet when she speaks of her son.

Welcome Back
Hello, stranger!
I'm back and here's whats new:
- High speed Internet is the cat's meow!
- A napping 2 year old is so sweet.
- Air conditioning is awesome.
- Never say never... I got a lovely sunburn this weekend.
- I am sold on Yoga!
- Children are precious, and I love mine dearly!

What Kind of Shoe Are You?
I saw this survey on Heels blog and thought what the heck, I'll try.
I'd have to say it's mostly true. My fave shoe is a good flip flop. I do love the beach and am sometimes a flake, but I am pretty responsible and can be uptight and not too laid back...at times. But for the most part this survey is right on.

| You Are Flip Flops |
Cheery and sunny in disposition, you usually have something to smile about. Style is important to you, as long as you can stay casual. It takes a lot to get you to dress up! You are a loyal and true person, though you can be a bit of a flake. You tend to "play hooky" and blow off responsibilities a lot more than most people. You should live: By the beach You should work: At a casual up and coming company |

Gift Card Problem

I am going to a bridal shower on Sunday. I have not been to many, and I can't remeber what to write on a gift card... "Here's to a fun first night", "Way to look hot, mama", "For when all else fails" (sorry dad, my loyal blog reader.) I don't know bridal shower gift card ettiquet. I have no idea so I'll go with a quote.
Which quote should I add to the card?
I love being married. It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.
Rita Rudner
To love someone deeply gives you strength. Being loved by someone deeply gives you courage. -Lao Tzu
Remember that happiness is a way of travel, not a destination.
Roy Goodman
Roy Goodman
Love is temporary insanity curable by marriage.
Ambrose Bierce
“Marriage is a three ring circus: engagement ring, wedding ring and suffering”
To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.- Bill Wilson
I like the funny one's, but I think I'll go sappy. It's more appropriate. I don't want to scare the poor girl before she gets married.

Random Thoughts
- Mamwich, aka sloppy Joe's, is so yummy, especially paired with mac' n' cheese.
-Quick and easy meals are a must when you are sick.
-Someone on another blog, blogged about Freaks and Geeks. I loved that show, it got canceled after only 12 episodes, boo hoo.
-I think I was a borderline geek in school.
-I've been thinking about what my next craft project should be, but I don't like the pre-planning.
-I'm thinking I should really get to those pillow covers I've been putting off forever.
-It's cold out side, but sunny.
-I could use some rain. Watering plants that are scattered around almost 3 acres when your sick is brutal.
- I love my new humidifier.
- One project for sure is to re organize ds's closet. I haven't decided what shelving to use. That might actually be fun.
-I need to get my tax stuff in order...like now.
