I've heard that question almost every day for a year. I told her when she's a big girl she can go. So, she proceeded to tell people when she's 21 she's going. We thought when she's 5 is a good age. So when she turned 4 recently...we caved. (More so because we got a killer deal for firefighters.) Regardless, I'm glad we went. The kids were supper excited. They loved the rides and the characters. While dh and I aren't "Disneyland People" , we did enjoy the delight from our kids. They were so grateful to us! I have to admit the Christmas decorations were pretty, especially all lit up at night. I also did enjoy explaining that, "Mommy loved this ride, too, as a little girl." Some musts: Tea Cups, Small World, Space Mountain (is that the right name?), and the Parade. I swear dd said hi to EVERYONE in the parade. "Hi snowman, hi Cinderella, hi dancers." I thought she'd loose her voice!

The day before we went to Disneyland we had a small get together for cake and ice cream, cause I'm crazy. We even had guest spend the night, which was a big step for me not to go crazy on the cleaning after a party. I actually had to sit with my house guests. It was the best excuse not to clean like crazy...
until everyone falls asleep. All the kids were so cute. I kinda felt bad though because it was the first time I didn't set up crafts or games. I usually dig my self into the ground pre planning. But not this year! I stuck to my guns and just did cake and ice cream. But I think the kids needed the activity. I told my dh, and he said ,"are you kidding? DD loved being able to play with her friends." I don't feel too bad now. But still. Note to self: Do the games!

Your post actually makes Disneyland sound fun. I'll believe it when I see it. Thank goodness we've still got a couple years to go...hee hee.
The party was great. Just the right mix of pretty decorations and casual atmosphere. Ansel had a blast romping around outiside. And you know all it takes is a little candy and he's in heaven!
