Simple Projects

So here are some little projects I've recently done...um. crocked and a little off. Hey, give me some time to get warmed up. It's been a while. But the craft fever has come back!!

This is just a long foundation chain I crochet, that turned into a necklace and bracelets for my little girl. She enjoyed them. Unfortunately my stock is getting low and all I had was black yarn. Very simple entertainment for my kids. I was actually surprised.

http://mamaplum.blogspot.com/ , told me about a local thrift to explore. The kids spotted these two backpack they liked. Sold for only $1.75. However I don't like these cartoon characters so I hand stitched some scrap fabric over them.

DD's (dear daughter) turned out good. I may have to redo DS's (dear son), ahem, it bunched up on me on the last bit and I got tired. But they are still better looking than those ugly Lil Bratz and whatever. I'll add thier names onto the front later. They are excited to take their packs to grandma's house this weekend.

This little skirt was supposed to be a shirt for myself, but I misjudged how loose it should be and when I tried it on... let's just say...I need to do some more ab workouts. So I just brought the seam in, cut the length to about 20 inches and added elastic to the waist. DD likes it. "You made this for me because you love me." Of course. Now if only mommy can remember to cut the bottom straight!

Ack! What a GREAT idea with the backpacks, they're beautiful. I'm copying that one for sure, you're good.
